There has been a show of support across Europe for migrants and refugees.<br /><br /> In Athens, hundreds marched through the city, chanting slogans urging the government to do more to allow people to cross into Europe safely. <br /><br /> In Madrid, thousands of people headed towards the foreign ministry. They chanted “no refugee is illegal” and “no more deaths at the borders.”<br /><br /> “Keeping borders as barriers for natural migration of people is an aberration in the 21st century,” said one Madrid demonstrator. <br /><br /> There has also been show of solidarity in London. <br /><br /> Protesters, including human rights campaigners and politicians, marched to Parliament Square.<br /><br /> “It’s a shame, a horrible shame, that this government, which is one of the richest governments and countries in the world, is not understanding really what’s happening to the people,” said a British-Serbian woman, who joined the London rally.
