Germany has temporarily re-introduced border checks as it tries to deal with a record influx of refugees and migrants.<br /><br /> The decision goes against the principle of free movement of people established by the Schengen zone.<br /><br /> Train services across the border have slowly resumed.<br /><br /> German Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière admits this is not the answer to the problem. “It will help reduce numbers,” he said, “and re-establish order at the border.
