The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has named Afghan refugee Aqeela Asifi its 2015 Nansen Refugee Award winner.<br /><br /> She was recognised for devoting her time to providing refugee girls in Pakistan with access to an education, while also adapting to a life in exile.<br /><br /> Although working with scarce resources and “significant cultural challenges,” the 49-year-old has so far led a thousand girls through their primary education.
