With increasing corporate control of the Peruvian mass media, young activists have been seeking communication alternatives. Those who would later create Radio Bomba met in late 2014 at the People's Summit in Lima and the project debuted at protests by youth earlier this year against restrictive labor legislation. The Internet broadcaster seeks to promote a horizontal and socially oriented journalism with coverage of the struggles and aspirations of the Peruvian people.
