Gunmen have attacked a Pakistani Air Force base in Peshawar, according to the country’s military. <br /><br /> It is reported that between seven and 10 militants targeted a guard post and tried to force their way into the Badaber base.<br /><br /> A gun battle has been raging and some of the attackers were reported dead.<br /><br /> There was no immediate claim of responsibility from any militant groups. <br /><br /> The number of attacks in Pakistan has fallen dramatically this year. This, thanks to a military offensive against Taliban bases along the Afghan border and government efforts to tackle militancy.
