For years inadequate forensic capabilities have hampered the ability of Eastern Caribbean states to resolve crimes. Now St. Lucia is trying to ensure that its forensic lab is fully operational and able to help regional islands that may not possess one of their own. Criminal investigation is just one of the areas in which the nine members of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States depend on each other for support.
