The influx of migrants and refugees to Croatia is staggering, as <br />asylum seekers continue a relentless surge towards western Europe.<br /><br /> In a record daily figure, a total of 8,750 migrants and refugees entered Croatia on Tuesday, according to the Interior Ministry.<br /><br /> In the last week, it says more than 44,000 people crossed into Croatian territory.<br /><br /> Batch after batch are being brought by bus to the Opatovac transit camp, having crossed the border from Serbia.<br /><br /> It is baby Yara’s first birthday today.
