Saudi Civil Defence authorities report at least 150 people have been killed and over 300 injured in a stampede outside Islam’s holiest city, Mecca.<br /><br /> The incident occurred during the Eid al-Adha (or Feast of Sacrifice) holiday.<br /><br /> Around three million Muslims are believed to be taking part in the Haj pilgrimage, ending at Mecca. Of those, 1.4 million are thought to be foreign nationals.<br /><br /> It’s the second deadly incident in the area in September. 107 people died when a crane crashed into the Grand Mosque.<br /><br /> The Saudi Civil Defence agency said severe rain contributed to the collapse of the crane.
