A video showing a mentally ill prison inmate in the U.S. being dragged by guards has been made public. Abdul Akbar died in November last year - 8 days after this video was shot.<br /><br />He spent more than three hours in a segregation area before being taken to hospital. He was serving a sentence in Detroit for breaking and entering. Initially, doctors concluded that Akbar died of natural causes related to heart disease and not from injuries received during the incident.<br /><br />Detroit Police concluded that no criminal activity took place.
