Just like you Mom made you when you were a kid; simple and perfect!<br /><br />Ingredients:<br />2¼ cups (560 mL) all purpose flour<br />¼ cup (60 ml) quick dissolving / fruit sugar<br />1 Tbsp (15 mL) baking powder<br />1 tsp (5 mL) salt<br />3 eggs<br />2 cups (500 ml) milk<br />5 oz. unsalted butter, melted and cooled<br />1½ tsp (7 mL) vanilla extract <br /><br />Method:<br />Pre-heat your waffle iron.<br />Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder & salt.<br />In another bowl whisk eggs, milk, butter and vanilla in a large jug until well combined. <br />Slowly whisk dry ingredients into egg and milk mixture to form a smooth batter. <br />Pour 1⁄2 cup of batter into each waffle square and close lid to cook. Time will depend on your waffle maker.<br />Repeat with remaining batter. <br /><br />Makes 12 waffles.
