Oklahoma orders stay of execution over drug error

Convicted criminal Richard Glossip has been granted a stay of execution by Oklahoma’s governor due to uncertainty over the drugs to be used in the lethal injection.<br /><br /> Prison officials had received potassium acetate for use in his execution but state guidelines only list potassium chloride.<br /><br /> Glossip has been found guilty of hiring a hit man to murder a motel owner.<br /><br /> “The Governor has granted a stay of execution for Richard Eugene Glossip until next month.
