A powerful typhoon has battered southern China, leaving four dead and sixteen others missing.<br /><br /> Typhoon Mujigae made landfall near the coastal city of Zhanjiang on Sunday afternoon and has mainly affected the Guangdong and Guanxi provinces.<br /><br /> Winds of up to 180 km/h left a trail of destruction, and authorities issued the highest ‘red alert’ emergency response.<br /><br /> JTWC did increase Typhoon #Mujigae to Cat 4 (115-knots) at 06z at landfall in China.
