Bizarre drone footage has emerged from China of hundreds of metres of gridlocked traffic as a huge 50-lane motorway was stacked solid approaching checkpoints coming into Beijing. <br /><br />The video, captured on G4 Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway on Monday afternoon, shows hundreds of cars lining up across the lanes as they queue for hours to enter the capital.<br /><br />According to local reports the traffic built up from the early afternoon due to a combination of foggy weather and a huge influx of travellers returning from a week of holiday for China's national day (1st-7th October).
