Tom Milestone & Jarvis Street Revue "Strands of Time" 1969 Canada Psych Jazz

Rare 'Canada only' LP release on the Birchmount label that is of interest to psych collectors for the Jarvis Street Revue participation. Although credited to Tom Milestone, this was a pseudonym for Tom Horricks, who also handled production duties, whilst Jarvis Street Revue provide the backing. Musically, it is "rough" lounge-jazz. Some of the tracks are excellent and the album is mainly instrumental with no real vocals. The rock background is evident on Watermelon Man and Gimme Some Lovin' whilst the most "psychedelic" track is a version of Take Five, with a bizarre guitar solo that is hopelessly NOT jazz but sounds like a slowed down Keith Richards / Chuck Berry copy...

This album is notable for featuring Jarvis Street Revue .
