Secretary of State John Kerry said Sunday he will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas this week in an effort to quell a wave of deadly violence that has swept across Israel in recent weeks.<br />Kerry, speaking at a luncheon in Paris, said he will meet with Netanyahu in Germany and then with Abbas and King Abdullah in Jordan.<br />Kerry did not discuss details of the trip.<br />The Associated Press, citing U.S. officials, said Kerry probably will be in Germany on Thursday and Jordan on Saturday.<br />The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss Kerry's travel plans.
