A Russian plane carrying over 220 people from Egypt to Russia disapperaed from radars, according to Russian and Egyptian authorities. It is believed to have crushed in central Sinai.<br>Kolavia Flight 7K9268, an Airbus A320, went off radar 23 minutes after taking off from Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport, Sergey Izvolskiy told the media citing preliminary data.<br>A Russian civilian aircraft crashed after it went missing in Egypts Sinai region on Saturday. <br>There were said to be 217 passengers on board when Egypts air traffic control lost contact with the aircraft, according to Sky News Arabia. <br>Egyptian prime minister Sherif Ismail has confirmed that the Russian plane has crashed and has set up a cabinet level crisis committee to investigate, according to AFP. <br>The Russian airline Kogalymavia flight was on its way to Russia after taking off from Sharm el-Sheikh resort on the Red Sea. Most people on the plane were Russian tourists. <br>Local media had reported that the plane has crashed, while other news agencies were reporting Egyptian officials saying that the plane has left Egyptian airspace safely.
