I'd never heard of a girl named Emmanuelle before, and to me the name "Emmanuelle" felt very poetic and spiritual. I later learned that it means "God is with us" ...so no wonder ;) ...A couple months later I met Emmanuelle in person for the first time when we recorded a cover of "Payphone" by Maroon 5 together. This song "Emmanuelle" is a compilation of everything I thought to myself and we talked about together while recording that cover.
