<p>France 24 journalists meet eyewitnesses (Observers) to discuss memorable events they have experienced.</p><br />Many islands in the Caribbean are suffering from an invasion of sargassum, a type of brown seaweed that stinks when in washes ashore and starts to rot.<br />In the French overseas territory of Guadeloupe, residents are complaining about the seaweed’s effect on the environment, as well as on the local economy.
