Yes Virginia scooters can use engine braking too. <br /> <br />A CVT transmission clutch, such as those on a scooter, do not go into neutral automatically when the throttle is closed. Enigine RPM must drop first before the bike can coast, but by the time you're coasting, you're well under 10mph.
