"Kosova do te flasë vete ne forumet e rëndësishme rajonale." Kështu është shprehur shefja për politike te jashtme te Bashkimit Evropian Catherine Ashton, duke folur ne një konference te përbashkët për shtyp me kryeministrin Hashim Thaci ne Bruksel. Zonja Ashton tha se tashme është hapur perspektiva evropiane e Kosovës. "Kjo marrëveshje do të thotë se Kosova do të marrë pjesë dhe do të flasë vetë për veten e saj në më shumë se 35 forume të ndryshme rajonale. Kosova po ashtu do të jetë në gjendje të nënshkruajë vetë marrëveshje. Ne gjithmonë kemi thënë se qëllimi i dialogut është t'i sjellim palët më afër Bashkimit Evropian, ka deklaruar Catherine Ashton, përfaqësuese për politike te jashtme. Ndërkohë, kryeministri Thaçi tha se paktet me Serbinë kane qene te domosdoshme. "Mendoj se këta hapa janë të vështirë për shkak të së kaluarës, por janë të rëndësishëm për të ardhmen e përbashkët evropiane," u shpreh nder te tjera Thaçi. Kryeministri i Kosovës ka nisur edhe një takim me eurokomisionerin Stefan Fyle. Paralelisht me këto takime, Këshilli Evropian shqyrton rekomandimin për te dhënë statusin kandidat për Serbinë. Ne këtë takim nuk pritet te ketë surpriza.<br /><br />"Kosovo will speak for itself in important regional forums." This was expressed foreign policy chief for the European Union, Catherine Ashton, speaking at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Hashim Thaci in Brussels. Ms Ashton said that already is opened Kosovo's European perspective. "This agreement means that Kosovo will attend and speak up for themselves its more than 35 different regional forums. Kosovo will also be able to sign the agreement. We have always said that the purpose of dialogue is to bring the parties closer to the European Union, Catherine Ashton said, representative for foreign policy. Meanwhile, Prime Minister said that pacts with Serbia have been necessary. "I think these steps are difficult because of the past, but are important to the common European future," said Thaci, among other things. Kosovo Prime Minister has initiated a meeting with Stefan Fule eurokomisionerin. In parallel with these meetings, the European Council considers the recommendation to give candidate status to Serbia. In this meeting is not expected to have surprises.
