Opozita ka kundërshtuar projektligjin per "Armet", i cili synon te rregulloje kushtet për blerjen apo mbajtjen e tyre, si dhe eksportimin nga Republika e Shqipërisë. Deputeti Fatmir Xhafaj tha se ishte e pakuptimte qe deputete apo ministra te kene te drejte te mbajne arme zjarri, por zv/ministri i Brendshëm Arben Ristani u pergjigj, se ky eshte standard ndërkombëtar. Vota e socialisteve ishte kundër draftit, me argumentin se kjo nisme nuk rregullon aspak realitetin, i cili sipas Xhafes eshte i mbingarkuar me krime. Projektligji lejon pajisjen me arme te nje kategorie te gjere zyrtaresh, por edhe nga radhet e drejtësisë e pushtetit lokal. Gjithashtu te drejtën per t'u armatosur e fitojnë edhe biznesmenët, kur shoqëria qe ata kane, zotëron një kapital jo më pak se pesëdhjetë milionë lekë, ose kapital bankar jo më pak se njëzet milionë lekë.<br /><br />The opposition has rejected the bill for "Arms", which aims to regulate the conditions for the purchase or holding them, and export from the Republic of Albania. MP Fatmir Xhafaj said it was nonsense that MPs or ministers have the right to bear firearms, but vice / Interior Minister Arben Ristani replied, that this is the international standard. Socialists vote against the draft, with the argument that this initiative does not regulate at all reality, which according Xhafa is overloaded with crimes. Also the right to be armed earn businessmen, when the company they have, owns a capital of not less than fifty million, or banking capital of not less than twenty million.
