If you received a password-reset notification from Amazon, you are not alone.<br />According to ZDNet , the e-retail giant force-reset an unknown number of user accounts and emailed affected users to alert them of the change.<br />"We have corrected the issue to prevent this exposure," the notice said, adding that there is "no reason" to believe any passwords were actually disclosed.<br />The company just last week rolled out two-step verification, adding an extra layer of security-just in time for the holiday shopping season.<br />The new feature arrived just before Amazon kicked off its eight-day holiday sales event on Nov. 20.<br />Check the site every day through Friday for new bargains, including 10 Deals of the Day starting at midnight on Thanksgiving, and up to 10 more on Black Friday itself.
