LeBron James on the Eastern Conference's rise: 'Our conference has been downplayed and we've taken it personal'

The NBA's Eastern Conference has recently been looked at as the little brother to the loaded and deep Western Conference.
The Golden State Warriors have helped punctuate the reign of supremacy, starting 15-0 this season, a few months after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.
The Warriors' recent title run capped a 67-win season and came on the heels of another Western Conference team, San Antonio, leaving James' Miami Empire in ruins one year earlier.
It's not even December yet, too early to say there's been a true shift in power, but currently 11 of the 15 East teams boast a record of .500 or better, led by the Cavs' 11-3 mark.
"I think quietly the East has been very good this year and those numbers show it," said Kevin Love, who spent six playoff-less years in the West with Minnesota.
At the conclusion of Monday's slate, the East held a seven-game edge in head-to-head games against the West, showing improved depth in what was once viewed as the inferior conference.
