<p>On October 12, 2002, Indonesia was hit by mass terrorism. A twin bombing targeted a bar and nightclub on the island of Bali. A total of 202 people lost their lives, most of them tourists, and hundreds more were injured. The attack was led by a commando of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI), linked to al Qaeda.</p><br />Thirteen years on, Bali has regained its serenity and tourists have returned.
