I love the scene in 'Boyhood' where Ethan Hawke waxes lyrical about "putting the band back together". But when I gave his Black Album a listen I was sadly disappointed. The track order didn't flow well. Some of the choices were weak. The 'eighties sounding-stuff' didn't sit well with earlier tracks. Several great songs were missing. And some songs, I felt, could use a trim and a tweak. So I decided to give it a go myself. Hope you enjoy.

TRACK LISTING

Side 1

Isolation 2.51
Wah Wah 3.10
Mrs Vanderbilt 3.20
Crippled Inside 3.46
Heart of the Country 2.22
Jealous Guy 4.12

Side 2

Guru Vandana 1.04
C' Moon 3.08
Gimme Some Truth 3.15
Real Love 3.52
My Sweet Lord 4.39
Look at Me 1.40
Oh Yoko! 2.49

Side 3

Love 2.45
Let 'Em In 4.27
When We Was Fab 3.20
Power to the People 2.55
Another Day 2.12
Oh My Love 2.39

Side 4

Give Peace a Chance 4.48
Maybe I'm Amazed 3.51
Working Class Hero 3.45
Uncle Albert - Admiral Halsey 3.44
Bangla Desh 3.57

Side 5

Instant Karma 3.16
The No-No Song 2.28
Helen Wheels 3.42
Imagine 3.00
Junk 1.54
Every Night 2.25
How 2.40

Side 6

Back Off Boogaloo 2.42
Nobody Loves You (When You're Down And Out) 5.07
The Back Seat of My Car 4.08
Mother 2.42
Band on the Run 2.44
All Things Must Pass 3.44
Here Today 0.49
