<p>Severe flooding in Cumbria caused chaos over the weekend of December 4-6, with several towns completely flooded. Cumbria Police declared the flooding a “major incident" and worked with other emergency services to help those affected. Residents were advised not to make unnecessary journeys and to avoid flooded areas.</p><p>Tens of thousands were left without power across northern England, and parts of Wales and Scotland.
