In a rare moment, fiercely protective first-time dad Ryan Gosling gushed about his child and the beloved partner helping him through his new world of parenting.<br />Gosling welcomed his daughter Esmeralda Amada Gosling into the world a year ago in September when his girlfriend, Hollywood actress and model Eva Mendes gave birth.<br />"This will be our first Christmas where [Esmeralda is] sort of taking it all in, so that's exciting," Gosling said in an interview with Hello!<br />Canada.<br />In regard to his stunning partner, Gosling is more than content with the woman in his life.<br />"I know that I'm with the person I'm supposed to be with," he said.<br />But, what does it take to nab the accomplished actor's affections?<br />"That she's Eva Mendes," Gosling said of the one quality he searches for in a woman.<br />"There's nothing else I'm looking for."
