Poland's new prime minister, Beata Szydlo, said she continued to oppose a proposal by British Prime Minister David Cameron to restrict welfare benefits for people from other European Union countries, but indicated a willingness to try to find a solution.<br />Mr. Cameron was in Poland Thursday as part of a tour of Eastern Europe to lobby leaders ahead of a key EU meeting in Brussels next week, where he plans to discuss concessions he is seeking.<br />Mr. Cameron has promised the British public he will secure changes in the U.K.'s relationship with Brussels and then hold a referendum by the end of 2017 on whether Britain should leave the EU.<br />Restricting access to U.K. benefits for citizens of other EU countries is his most contentious demand, particularly in Poland, which has hundreds of thousands of people living in the U.K.
