27 missing as buildings collapse in southern China landslide

A massive landslide buried an industrial park in the southern Chinese city Shenzhen on Sunday morning, according to Chinese state media reports and online posts.<br />The number of casualties is unknown.<br />At least 22 people remain missing, and rescuers have pulled four people alive from collapsed or buried buildings, China's state newswire Xinhua reported on Sunday afternoon.<br />About 1,500 rescue workers have been dispatched to the scene.<br />The landslide occurred at 11:40 a.m. and covered an area of more than 215,000 square feet in Shenzhen's Guangming New District, including the Liuxi Industrial Park, according to a televised statement by Shenzhen municipal official Li Yikang.<br />At least 900 people have been evacuated, he said.
