With the festive period comes the onset of tornado season in the US.<br /><br /> Severe storms across the south and midwest have killed at least seven people and injured dozens more.<br /><br /> In northern Mississippi, authorities report four people died when a tornado raged through the state, touching down in Clarksdale before moving east into Tennessee.
