Hot and windy conditions have pushed bushfires out of control in the state of Victoria, in southern Australia. <br />More than 100 houses have been destroyed in the fires that have swept through the popular holiday towns of Wye River and Separation Creek. <br />Many residents and holidaymakers were forced to flee and Christmas festivities were abandoned when the scale of the threat became apparent.
