More than 19 years ago, the Charlotte Hornets drafted Kobe Bryant in the first round of the 1996 NBA Draft.<br />Later, they of course went on to trade Bryant to the Los Angeles Lakers for Vlade Divac before Bryant ever played a game for the franchise.<br />On Monday night, Hornets majority owner Michael Jordan appeared on the big board during starting lineups to share his thoughts on Bryant's legendary career.<br />"I just wanted to say congratulations," Jordan said.<br />"Your next step and your next career is going to be something that I'm pretty sure you're going to have to figure out from a competitive stand point.<br />I'm pretty sure you're just like me.<br />You're going to have to find other ways to utilize that competitive drive."
