The Lakers moved the ball crisply and shot the ball with deadly accuracy.<br />They defended by rotating swiftly and unyielding hustle.<br />Soon enough, the streamers fell down from the Staples Center rafters as the fans cheered endlessly.<br />It seemed like such a foreign concept to see.<br />But it happened.<br />The Lakers secured a 97-77 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, providing a new identity in the new year that is suddenly spawning positive vibes in a dour season.<br />The Lakers (8-27) secured their first three-game winning streak since Feb. 22-27, 2014 as Lou Williams (30 points), Larry Nance Jr. (15), Roy Hibbert (13) and Jordan Clarkson (12) all cracked double figures.<br />They also held Phoenix to 36-percent shooting, 16 assists, and outrebounded the Suns, 54-45.
