It takes more than a security scare to stop the world's most powerful woman from taking care of business.<br />German Chancellor Angela Merkel ignored an alert outside her Berlin offices and pushed on with a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.<br />Police sealed off the area around the building after a suspicious object was spotted near its gates.<br />Four yellow post office boxes containing mail destined for Merkel's office were searched by experts, a federal police spokesperson told NBC News.<br />The German leader was in her office and chaired a pre-planned cabinet meeting amid the activity outside, officials confirmed.<br />Police later gave the all-clear after nothing dangerous was found.<br />Merkel has been dubbed "The Iron Chancellor" and has been named the world's most powerful woman by Forbes for five straight years.<br />Last month, TIME unveiled her as its Person of the Year.
