Perdido Street Blues - Stumptown Jazz 2001 <br />During a performance in January 2001 in the Portland Oregan area Stumptown Jazz plays the classic Lil Hardin tune “Perdido Street Plues” as initially recorded by The New Orleans Wanderers in 1926. <br />In a way we follow their same arrangement, somewhat faster though but without copying any of the original solos. <br />Bob Erwig cornet, Phil Hatton clarinet, Rex Rice trombone, leader Gary Peterson piano, Dave Brown banjo, John Walling tuba and Bill Franklin drums. <br />note: <br />The reason this films was not made available on dailymotion earlier was the fact that the first hour of film was distorted and I never looked any further until yesterday. I’m so glad I found this music from one of my favourite bands and be able to show you now.
