Dozens of people, including elderly people and babies, had to be moved from their homes by ambulance and boat, after the River Don burst its banks in Aberdeenshire overnight. <br />Rescue workers struggled in freezing temperatures, snow and fast-rising waters to reach homes in Inverurie, near Aberdeen. <br />The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) issued two severe flood warnings as some water levels reached record highs.
