Five years ago, Samuel L Jackson was anointed America's "highest-grossing" actor by The Guinness Book of World Records: the man whose films had cumulatively made more money in the US than anyone else's.<br />But now one of the original stars of the franchise has overtaken Jackson.<br />Thanks to the colossal success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which has grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, Harrison Ford is the new king of the box office.<br />According to Box Office Mojo, which maintains a constantly updated list of grosses, movies starring Ford have made $4.7 billion, compared to Jackson's $4.6 billion.
