I just happened to have a radio-controlled car that operated at the same voltage as the battery operated locomotive that I've posted earlier. The car sacrificed its radio control circuit for the train. This is my first test, on a rolling road purchased from Direct Train Spares a few weeks ago. It does forwards and backwards (very basic remote, no variable speed) and I've put the circuit board from the car in a similar case to the batteries. It's not the most elegant of conversions, but I'm (a) a novice, (b) not made of money, and (c) of limited talent.

The Mamod locomotive in the background is the one that was struggling in an earlier clip. It's awaiting attention.
