Former civil service chief Lord Kerslake has warned about about the growing "arrogance" of David Cameron's government. <br />The crossbench peer, who was ousted as cabinet secretary in 2014, made the comments during a House of Lords debate on the government's Trade Union Bill. <br />He said that when the union proposals were taken together with plans to limit the powers of the House of Lords, changes to Freedom of Information laws and cuts to the public funding of the opposition in parliament, there appeared to be "an authoritarian streak to this government".
