Kalki Koechlin, born on 9th January 1983 at Pondicherry, is an Indian actress of French descent and daughter of Joel Koechlin, who hitch hiked from France to India.<br /> <br />Kalki started her career by joining Goldsmiths acting course at London University and did plays for a theatre group- Theatre of Relativity.<br /><br />Kalki made her debut in Hindi films in the year 2009 in a film Dev D, and her acting abilities were applauded and she won awards like Filmfare Best Debut Award.<br /> <br />Kalki has acted in many films like Dev D, THE FILM Emotional Atyachar, Shaitan, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, My Friend Pinto, Shanghai.<br /> <br />Kalki has also co written the film - That Girl In Yellow Boots where she has also acted.<br /> <br />Kalki fell in love with her debut film director Anurag Kashyap.
