This video was shot at the Midland Ave grade Crossing in Elmwood Park, New Jersey and the Market Street crossing in Saddle Brook, NJ.
Since my parents were going to the movies, i decided to head down to New Jerseys most dangerous railroad crossing to film a few trains.
Some changes have happened to the Midland Ave crossing:
1. The crossing just recived a new surface to include new concrete padding and a new painted surface
2. There will be traffic lights installed here as well in the coming weeks. These traffic lights are whats known as queue-cutter traffic lights, which allow a certain amount of cars through the crossing when green before switching back to red. If a train comes, the light stays red the whole time the crossing is active.
Crossing Info:
Crossing #1: Midland Ave
Signal on right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a WC Hayes Gate motor and a Safetran mechanical bell.
Signal on left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran Gate motor and a Safetran mechanical bell.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crossing #2: Market Street:
Signal #1: 1 Harmon Cantilever with 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights.
The gate is on a separate pole and has a Safetran gate motor and a Safetran Hybrid mechanical bell
Signal #2: 1 Harmon Cantilever with 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights.
The gate is on a separate pole and has a Safetran gate motor and a Safetran Hybrid mechanical bell
Both pedestrian gates have WC Hayes gate motors.
Enjoy!
TM & Copyright ©2015 by Freedomtowerman Productions®
All Rights Reserved
