Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, accompanied with Minister Maryam Monsef, will meet on Sunday, January 17, with the board of the Kawartha Muslim Religious Association and will attend a private reception with community leaders and an open house of the Masjid Al-Salaam in Peterborough, Ontario.<br />In his statement issued on November 16, Trudeau repeated his strong belief that the diversity of faith groups which share the same Canadian values are a source of strength, not weakness.<br />“The values that make our country great are values that celebrate our diversity and our religious tolerance.<br />Canada is a country that is strong, not in spite of our differences, but because of them.<br />Muslim-Canadians contribute enormously to the social and economic fabric of our nation.”
