Cologne police said Monday they have arrested three Algerians in connection with the mass assaults on New Year’s Eve, including one they believe could have participated in sexual harassment.<br />The arrests mark small progress in the investigations into the assaults that have shocked a nation and sparked a divisive debate about the security risks of migration in the country.<br />Hundreds of women have complained they were sexually harassed or robbed, mainly outside Cologne’s main train station during the New Year celebrations.<br />Officials have said suspects were mainly from North Africa.<br />Police said they arrested two Algerian men on Saturday in a refugee camp in Kerpen, a small town southwest of Cologne.
