Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says five people have died in a school shooting in the remote community of La Loche, in the province of Saskatchewan, western Canada. <br /><br /> At least two people are in a critical condition, the premier said.<br /><br /> His statement followed a report from a hospital nurse, who told CBS news a number of people were being treated for gunshot wounds.<br /><br /> Trudeau said the alleged shooter is in custody and the situation is now under control.<br /><br /> Lockdown<br /><br /> Canadian police confirmed they had attended a serious incident at La Loche Community School. <br /><br /> The school district’s Facebook page said an emergency in the building where grades 7 – 12 are taught put both the building and the elementary school on lockdown.<br /><br /> La Loche Community School teaches children from pre-kindergarten to grade 12 (usually aged 17-18).
