Dramatic footage has emerged from Viña del Mar, Chile where heavy waves have battered the coast over the last week.<br /><br />In the video, filmed in Avenida Perú, the filmer is taken by surprise and others scream as huge waves come over the sea wall, hitting parked cars and causing destruction.<br /><br />According to local reports, authorities have been expecting the conditions to continue in the popular tourist area and are putting safety plans into place.
