Iranian president Hassan Rouhani meets the Pope in Rome

Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani, meets Pope Francis in Rome on Tuesday, during the first state visit to Europe by an Iranian president in almost two decades. Rouhani is introduced to other church officials before exchanging gifts with Pope Francis.
