Light shines from Auckland's Rangitoto Island <br />A beam of light shooting from the summit of Rangitoto Island stopped some people in their tracks - but it was all in the name of art. <br />The light display began on Friday night, when an array of powerful lights mounted near the summit of Rangitoto Island, shone from the Island from 10pm to 12am. <br />The stunning sight made some people wonder what was going on. <br />However the beam was an installation designed to help celebrate Auckland's Maori culture.
