Dramatic footage of rescue efforts as a man became trapped in a truck submerged underwater in Vancouver, Canada last week.<br /><br />The video, captured by one of two bystanders who stopped to help, shows the truck as the filmer yells updates to driver 'Jeff' in response to his "muffled communication".<br /><br />The driver and his dog were both eventually rescued by emergency services who cut open the vehicle with the help of the public.<br /><br />The filmer wrote online: "Once fire fighters arrived we were able to pry door enough to get the 'Jaws' in and recover 1 man & 1 dog .. cold - wet - shocked - but grateful to be alive."<br /><br />He added: "What an eeeeery feeling as I waded around truck with cab completely submerged , all lights on - Prying , pulling , banging and yelling for a response , which seemed like 10 mins to establish muffled communication ... this guy is very lucky."<br /><br />+++CLIENTS PLEASE NOTE: Edited for swearing+++
