Shocking footage has emerged from China of a motorcyclist being saved by the helmet he's wearing when he loses control of his scooter and plows headfirst into a 4x4. <br /><br />The video, captured in Wuhu, Anhui Province last Tuesday, shows the scooter rider swerving after trying to avoid a pedestrian on the side of the road, but he loses control of his vehicle and smashes into the oncoming car. <br /><br />According to local reports, the driver's head was not too badly injured because he was wearing a helmet, even though he effectively headbutted the bonnet of the 4x4. <br /><br />He received emergency treatment in hospital, but the driver is now "out of danger".
