The British European Space Agency astronaut shot the time-lapse video of a lightning storm over Turkey as the ISS was traveling from North Africa toward Russia, he stated in his video post to Facebook. <br /> <br />Peake said the trip took about 10 to 12 minutes, but he speeded up the video to show the storm in 30 seconds. <br /> <br />“Amazing how much lightning can strike our planet in a short time,” Peake’s post read.
